#BHumane Pets of the Week: Charlene and Deziree

CHARLENE Three words you can use to describe me? Cuddly, playful, happy. My absolute favorite thing to do is get some good cuddle time! I love snuggling with my favorite people. When I dream about a family that would be perfect for me, I dream about a family that is looking for a happy playful girl. I love being with people and am always ready to head out for whatever adventures await!

DEZIREE Hi! I’m Deziree! I came to BHS with another cat named Venus and our previous owner said we got along great. I am a little nervous, but I am a very chatty lady. I definitely want affection, but it’s just going to take me a little more time to warm up to my new friends at BHS.

#BHumane is a campaign in partnership with Baltimore Humane that gives cats and dogs needing more care and attention a greater chance of finding a home as quickly as possible. Its mission focuses on animals that have been homeless for two months or longer; are elderly; have behavior or medical needs; aren’t thriving in the shelter environment; or make up a large percentage of the shelter population, such as bully breeds. Why the hashtag? Join the no-kill movement and help spread the word by sharing these animals on your socials with the tag #bhumane.
